The UK's first whistleblower support group was established in 1991 under the title: Freedom to care.

The following provides an indication of its aims and intentions:

'Promoting the expression of social conscience in the workplace, public accountability, ethics at work and supporting whistleblowers and whistleblowing. Providing free information on professional ethics, bullying at work, corporate responsibility, social and ethical accounting and auditing - especially in health care, nursing, social work, police, financial services, education, science and environmental activity.'

Alex Chernavsky, of Rochester, New York, USA, has a personal site concerned with the issue of psychology and pseudo-science.  Alex advises that the site's current focus is on: 'depression, addiction, and schizophrenia'.  Eventually, that focus will be widened along with the addition of more information.  Alex also includes a daily on line diary devoted to pseudoscience, skepticism, and similar topics.

My own tussle with Solihull Education Authority  is briefly recorded in Hansard for a debate held on June 18 1991.  The Parliamentary procedure of an adjournment debate was used by my MP at the time, John Butcher, to raise my difficulties before the House of Commons.  Although sadly the House was empty apart from John Butcher and Alan Howarth who responded to the debate as the Under-Secretary of State for Education and Science.
